Isle of Colonsay

A wee gem of an island, only about ten miles long and two miles wide.

There is a huge amount on offer throughout ‘the season’ (Easter – end October), but there is also a huge amount of space if that is all you want ……..

Come and savour the island elements!

The Celtic Sea Spice Company, founded in 2011, was  the UK’s first sea-to-shelf seaweed production company, based in Edinburgh. They brought hand-cut, sustainably harvested seaweed back into popular use, making its health benefits accessible as a delicious, easy-to-use seasoning. They refer to seaweed as “Scotland’s forgotten natural Superfood”!

Find great recipes on their website, and also in Seaweed and Eat It by Fiona Houston and Xa Milne,  and The Seaweed Cookbook by Xa Milne.
